We are looking for analysts to join our team of experts. Multilingual abilities are highly desired but not required. An analyst classifies and organizes data on a large scale to formulate comprehensive reports with strict deadlines, researches and monitors the high-risk markets on the internet, and develops familiarity with the regulation of prescription drugs, supplements, controlled substances, gambling, and other high-risk areas.

This position requires a steep learning curve and we devote several months to intensive training. Because the training is a substantial investment, we are looking for candidates who have a lot of ambition and drive, who are seeking a long-term, growth position.

Required Skills:

Schedule:

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, in our modern Portland office, which is cubicle-free with plenty of natural light. Our workday is based around an 8:30-5:00 timeframe, but we offer flexible schedules.

Compensation Package and Perks:

Starting salary for this position is $40K-$50K, depending on background and experience. LegitScript is seeking an experienced manager to lead a rapidly growing service area at our Portland, Oregon headquarters.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a candidate who has experience and passion for managing both people and processes. This role requires knowledge of current management best practices as well as exposure to process efficiency methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). You will be responsible for assisting a growing team of analysts implement effective and efficient processes to support the success of a rapidly growing service area. You will report to the Director of Operations and will oversee a small, but growing, team of analysts. If you have a desire to help people develop their potential and a knack for process improvement and are looking for a company where you can grow your own management and process improvement skills, you could be a great fit.

Sr. DevOps Engineer / Systems Administrator

LegitScript, one of the Top 100 Workplaces in Oregon, is seeking an exceptional senior level DevOps Engineer and Systems Administrator to join our team at our Portland, Oregon-based headquarters.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. LegitScript does not offer visa sponsorship at this time.

 

What we are looking for:

A highly experienced DevOps Engineer / Systems Administrator with a proven track record of maintaining internal, private, and public cloud infrastructures. We need someone who is capable of defining processes and creating configurations that adhere to industry best practices. You will be the senior engineer on our DevOps team leading our efforts to support our development and operations teams. You will report to the Director of Engineering but work with teams across the company.

 

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Deploy and maintain network infrastructure within private cloud and AWS to support the business and engineering needs

  • Perform system upgrades and patches

  • Automate and administer data backup and recovery activities

  • Define and implement disaster recovery procedures

  • Define, share, and ensure that system administration and security best practices are being followed

  • Establish processes and systems to monitor the health of all systems

  • Ensure development teams are supported in their efforts to deploy software in a timely and high-quality fashion

  • Review infrastructure, costs, contracts with vendors, and assist in negotiating services

  • Create tools and processes to optimize and maintain systems

  • Document network architecture, policies, and procedures

  • Support company employees in a technical support capacity for both Apple and Windows systems

  • Mentor peer engineers to build up team knowledge


 

Requirements:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Expert level scripting with Unix Shell

  • Expertise in security best practices for internal networks and cloud deployed systems

  • Hands-on experience and expertise with:

    • Network, and Linux/Unix administration

    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) and highly scalable architectures

    • MySQL and Postgres administration inclusive of backups, recovery, and scaling

    • Ruby, Python, or another scripting language highly desired

    • GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence highly desired

    • Continuous Integration & Deployment

    • Puppet, Chef, or other DevOps/CM tools

    • Orchestration, containers, and other VM-related technologies

    • Large data storage and processing with Cassandra, Hadoop, or other distributed data stores

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban desired

  • Knowledge of Security-related technologies and best practices highly desired

  • Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions highly desired

  • Experience in a non-management, technical leadership role over a peer group of System Administrators or Operations Engineers

  • Effective time management required
