LegitScript has verified that SmartPak (smartpak.com) and three affiliated websites, smartpakequine.com, smartpakcanine.com, and smartpakwestern.com, are veterinary pharmacy websites that adhere to LegitScript standards. LegitScript stanadards are recognized by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
SmartPak.com and its affiliated websites only fill veterinary prescriptions, and also carry over-the-counter (non-prescription) veterinary products. A prescription is required from a veterinarian or other licensed provider who has physically examined the animal in person at some point. SmartPak focuses, non-exclusively, on canine and equine products.
LegitScript is able to recommend SmartPak as safe and legitimate for several reasons. First, it appears to only dispense FDA-approved veterinary medications. Second, it is physically located in the United States, which dramatically reduces the danger that the products will be expired, adulterated or counterfeit. Third, it requires a valid prescription. Fourth, it has sufficient privacy protections in place. Fifth, it has achieved a superior degree of transparency and does not appear to engage in any fraudulent or deceptive claims. Finally, SmartPak is licensed and in good standing in all 50 states.
Customers may mail an original prescription to: SmartPak Pharmacy 40 Grissom Rd Suite 500 Plymouth, MA 02360. Veterinarians only may call the prescription into 1-800-431-4194, or may fax the prescription to 1-800-431-4179. SmartPak cannot accept prescriptions faxed by customers.
