Dispensing pharmacy for womenshealth.com busted for counterfeit Viagra

Yesterday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant against a pharmacy in Wisconsin accused of selling “millions of doses” of counterfeit Viagra, and (apparently real) OxyContin and Vicodin.

Although does not appear that the pharmacy’s website was used as the portal for the illegal Internet sales (rather, it appears that the pharmacy dispensed on behalf of other websites), the primary Internet presence of the Madison, Wisconsin pharmacy is womenshealth.com, which focuses primarily on compounding and hormone therapy. (Note: It does not appear that the allegations relate to the compounding aspect of the pharmacy’s business.)

The website, womenshealth.com, had not been a LegitScript-approved Internet pharmacy. The website is currently designated as unapproved/rogue in our database, based on the search warrant’s statements of probable cause related to the sale and distribution of counterfeit drugs.
