Bilingual Japanese-English Analyst
Portland, OR

LegitScript is a fast-growing, Portland based company that performs cyber investigations and internet monitoring in the healthcare sector and other high-risk areas. We are beyond the startup phase, but we have retained the best parts of a startup mentality (read: We are creative and collaborative! We have fun! We wear jeans!). We even have a (really awesome) office dog and in-house barista.

We are looking for a bilingual Japanese-English analyst to join our team of experts. An analyst classifies and organizes data on a large scale to formulate comprehensive reports with strict deadlines, researches and monitors the high-risk markets on the internet, and develops familiarity with the regulation of prescription drugs, supplements, controlled substances, gambling, and other high-risk areas.

This position requires a steep learning curve and we devote several months to intensive training. Because the training is a substantial investment, we are looking for candidates that have a lot of ambition and drive, who are seeking a long-term, growth position.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. LegitScript does not offer visa sponsorship at this time.

Required Skills:

·       Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions from large data sets

·       Internet/computer-savvy, familiarity with Excel (or similar spreadsheet programs)

·       Both spoken and written fluency in Japanese (at a native level) and English (at a near-native level)

·       Quick study and extremely detail-oriented

·       Insatiable curiosity and a love for problem solving

·       Resourceful

·       Welcomes feedback

·       Strong writing skills

·       Works equally well independently and on a team


·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Bonus Skills:

·       Knowledge of internet investigative techniques

·       Background in cyber-investigations, risk management, regulatory compliance, military intelligence, criminal justice, anti-money laundering or similar field


This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, in our modern Portland office, which is cubicle-free with plenty of natural light. Our workday is based around an 8:30-5:00 timeframe, but we offer flexible schedules.

Compensation Package and Perks:

Starting salary for this position is $40K-$50K, depending on background and experience. About Our Hiring Process:

If selected, candidates will receive a screening exercise to assess their research skills, analytical reasoning, and quality of writing, including grammar, spelling, citations, and sources. Following the screening exercise, selected candidates will advance to a phone interview with an individual from the hiring team. This screening call is intended to give us a brief chance to get to know each other and answer questions you may have about the position. Following the phone screening, we will schedule the selected candidates for an onsite interview with members of the team.

Staff Pharmacist
Portland, OR

LegitScript is seeking a staff pharmacist to join our team of compliance experts.

In this role, you will act as an internal expert resource on pharmacy-related matters. This role monitors and investigates internet pharmacies and other healthcare product websites domestically and globally. The position requires a great working knowledge of pharmacy practice and operations, as well as familiarity with pharmacy laws of various jurisdictions. This role researches and thoroughly investigates the status of regulated health products around the world. This role requires strong research and writing ability and acts as a decision maker. This role reports to the Director of Operations.

If you are a pharmacist looking for a non-traditional role where you can put your knowledge to use and make a difference, this job could be a great fit.

Role Requirements:

  • PharmD or equivalent degree

  • Active and clean pharmacy license

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Desire to learn daily

  • Internet/computer-savvy

  • Passionate work ethic

Bonus Skills:

  • Prior work with a board of pharmacy or similar organization

  • Familiarity with healthcare product regulations (drug, medical device, and dietary supplement regulations)

  • Familiarity with internet infrastructure (registrars, ISPs, ICANN)

  • Familiarity with provision of financial services to pharmacy businesses

  • Fluent in multiple languages

  • Knowledge of internet research techniques

We are cybercrime superheroes doing everything we can to make the internet a safer and more transparent place. Our historic focus, which is expanding, has been on the online healthcare product sector, where we analyze and report on rogue online pharmacies and other websites selling dangerous healthcare products. Our mission includes protecting consumers from dangers like deadly psychoactive highs, cosmetics that contain mercury, "all natural" supplements that contain dangerous pharmaceuticals, and illegal online pharmacies that fake their certifications and sell prescription medications to anyone who asks. We are rapidly expanding into monitoring other high-risk areas.
